If you have remaining teeth that need to be removed and you do not want to be without teeth an immediate denture option is available to you. Your dentist will take measurements and make models of your jaw during a preliminary visit. When we remove your teeth, we can “immediately” insert this type of denture. This will act like a band-aid covering those open sites and allowing the blood the clot and keeping any food or fluid out of that area. We will have you follow up through the healing process to make sure your tissue and bone looks good. Remember these are only temporary, because your bone is going to heal and change, final dentures should be made 3-6 months after the extractions of your teeth.
